Hormones

Hormones are incredible chemical messengers in our body that affect our brain, heart, bones, muscles, and reproductive organs and are an essential part of the workings of every cell in the human body. Hormones work best when balanced. However, hormones can become imbalanced. Hormone restoration is key to a women’s health. Dr. April can work with you to determine appropriate testing and develop an individualized treatment plan to restore balance and clarity to your life.

Pelvic Floor Therapy

Pelvic floor therapy is an internal vaginal therapy for women that focuses on the pelvic floor muscles. Similar to other muscles of the body, the muscles of the pelvic floor can also become fatigued, overworked, and have painful trigger points. This therapy uses gentle internal massage to restore physical and emotional balance to the pelvic floor muscles and organs and decrease problematic symptoms.

The initial visit includes a detailed history of your symptoms, a pelvic floor assessment, and treatment. If needed, follow-up visits include a discussion around response to treatment and an additional treatment. Most patients receive symptom improvement with 1-6 treatments.

Some of the many conditions that can be improved with Pelvic floor therapy include:

  • Fertility
  • History of pelvic trauma or abuse
  • Painful intercourse or painful sexual activity
  • Postpartum complaints
  • Recurrent/chronic vaginal infections or UTIs
  • Sexual dysfunction
  • Urinary leakage or incontinence

Please don’t hesitate to ask us any questions you might have. Your comfort is important to us.
